MESA (Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement) is an after school club held on Fridays from 2:30-4:00PM. Any 6-8th grade students are welcome to join. Just pick up an application from Room 37 or 39. MESA does projects involving math, science, and engineering. Some of these projects include popsicle stick bridges, mousetrap cars, and egg drops. Students who would like to pursue a career involving math, science, or engineering should join this club. In addition to projects at school, the students go to competitions. Our upcoming competition is on March 19, 2016 at UC Davis. Depending on how well the group does, we may go to UC Davis again for regionals on April 30, 2016. At competition, the students present projects that they have done in class and they are tested in various ways depending on the project. Again, if you are interested in joining, pick up an application! --(Ashley J. 2/4/16)
